This fruit merchant had a slow day, not many people about on foot due to the rain. I feel it shows in his posture so I thought it made an interesting photo… This is my first attempt to use a smaller aperture than the max of the lens (f/1.1 for the 7Artisdans) so I can get the entire subject in focus (which in this case is merchant and his bike). I could not find the DOF charts for the 7Artisans lens but I figure this is as much about trial and error as about anything else. Imagine having to look up DOF in a chart before making an image like this: it’s gone by then.
